Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Buddylio mobile app, buddylio.com, Story Club, free guides, paid digital products, and the personalized Story Book service. By using one of these services or completing a purchase, you agree to these Terms.

1. Operator and Scope

Buddylio is operated by Reelygood S.R.L. ("we," "us," or "our"). Our mailing address is Buddylio, 849 N Lake Ave PMB 264, Pasadena, CA 91104, United States.

In these Terms, the "App" means the Buddylio iOS and Android app. The "Website" means buddylio.com and its pages, forms, emails, downloads, and services. "Digital Products" means the downloadable PDFs and ZIP bundles sold on the Website. "Story Book" means the personalized digital book service described below.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement to use Buddylio or make a purchase. By using Buddylio, you confirm that you meet these requirements.

3. The App and Your License

The App helps you keep dog-care observations, routines, reminders, and notes organized. It can also create a Veterinary Summary PDF that you may choose to share with a veterinarian. The App is available on iOS and Android.

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the App for your personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse engineer, or attempt to extract the source code of the App, except where such restriction is prohibited by applicable law.

Your download and use of the App is also subject to the terms of the store where you obtained it. For iOS users, Apple's Standard EULA also applies. If store terms conflict with these Terms about downloading or installing the App, the store terms control that issue.

4. Not Veterinary Advice

Buddylio helps you notice and organize what you observe. It is not a veterinary service or a substitute for a qualified veterinarian. The App, Website, guides, stories, reminders, summaries, and other content do not provide a veterinary diagnosis or decide what care your dog needs.

Contact a veterinarian if you are concerned about your dog. If your dog appears to need urgent help, contact a veterinarian or emergency animal clinic right away.

5. Your Content

You keep ownership of the information, writing, and photos you provide to Buddylio. App content stays on your device as described in our Privacy Policy.

When you send content through the Website, you give us a limited, non-exclusive license to receive, copy, format, edit, and use that content only as needed to provide the service you requested. For a Story Book order, that includes writing, designing, reviewing, revising, and delivering your book. This license ends when we no longer need the content for those purposes, subject to the retention terms in our Privacy Policy.

You confirm that you have the right to provide the content and that our use of it to complete your request will not violate another person's rights. Do not upload anything unlawful, harmful, or invasive of another person's privacy.

6. Free Guides, Story Club, and Email

Free guides are provided for personal use. Story Club is a free email series that sends two short dog stories each week. Your first story or guide may be sent through a separate delivery email. Delivery timing can vary because of email providers, spam filtering, outages, or an incorrect address.

You may unsubscribe from marketing or Story Club emails at any time. Transactional messages about a purchase or a request you made may still be sent when needed to complete that request.

7. Digital Product Purchases

Prices and file types are shown on each product page before checkout. Unless the page says otherwise, Website purchases are one-time payments in U.S. dollars. Stripe processes the payment. We do not receive your full card number.

After Stripe confirms payment, the confirmation page provides a protected download for the product you purchased. The delivery email may also provide a protected link that can be used for 30 days. Save the PDF or ZIP to your device instead of relying on the checkout page or email link as permanent storage.

Your purchase gives you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Digital Product for your own household. You may print copies for personal use. You may not resell, publish, share, upload, distribute, or use the files to create another product or service.

8. Personalized Story Book Service

The Story Book is a personalized digital service, not a physical book. The current offer is a $39 one-time payment for a designed PDF with 24 to 30 pages and up to ten customer-provided photos.

After payment, we email a secure questionnaire link. Production begins after we receive the completed questionnaire and required photos. We aim to email a proof within three business days after receiving complete materials. One revision for factual or wording changes is included. A full rewrite, a new concept, or a replacement set of photos is not included unless we agree to it separately.

You are responsible for reviewing the proof and identifying factual or wording corrections. After the included revision, we send the final PDF to the email address used for the order. Timelines may be extended if your submission is incomplete, we need clarification, or events outside our reasonable control interrupt production or email delivery.

The final book is licensed for personal and family use. You may print it for yourself or as a personal gift. You may not resell the book, use it commercially, or claim ownership of Buddylio's underlying templates, layouts, design system, or service materials.

9. Refunds and Order Problems

If a file is missing or faulty, you were charged twice, or the product does not match its description, email support@buddylio.com from the address used at checkout. We may restore access, replace a file, correct the order, or issue a refund when appropriate.

We do not offer a separate blanket money-back guarantee. Nothing in these Terms limits any refund, cancellation, conformity, or other consumer right that cannot legally be limited where you live. More information is available on our Refunds page.

10. Cost

The Buddylio app is free to use. It has no subscriptions or in-app purchases.

11. Acceptable Use

You may not use Buddylio unlawfully, interfere with the App or Website, bypass access controls or payment checks, submit malicious code, abuse forms or rate limits, scrape the Website at a harmful volume, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to any system or another person's information.

12. Buddylio Content and Intellectual Property

The App, Website, guides, stories, product files, graphics, logos, templates, layouts, and software are owned by or licensed to Reelygood S.R.L. and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Except for the personal-use licenses granted in these Terms, no rights are transferred to you.

13. Third-Party Services

Buddylio relies on services provided by Apple, Google, Stripe, MailerLite, Resend, Firebase, Vercel, and other infrastructure providers. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to the services they provide. We are not responsible for an outage, account action, or service decision controlled by a third party, but we will take reasonable steps to help with a Buddylio order or delivery problem.

14. Availability and Changes

We may update, improve, suspend, or discontinue a Buddylio feature or offer. We do not promise that every part of the App or Website will always be available, error-free, or unchanged. A change will not remove consumer rights that already apply to a completed purchase.

15. Disclaimers

To the extent permitted by law, Buddylio is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not make warranties beyond the specific product description and any warranties that cannot legally be excluded. We do not promise that the App, Website, email delivery, downloads, or third-party services will be uninterrupted or error-free.

16. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Reelygood S.R.L. and its directors, employees, and agents will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from Buddylio.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for a claim relating to a paid Website product or service will not exceed the amount you paid for that product or service. For an App claim, total liability will not exceed the amount you paid for the App during the twelve months before the claim. These limits do not apply where applicable law does not allow them.

17. Suspension and Termination

You may stop using Buddylio at any time. We may limit or suspend access if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms, harmed the service, bypassed a payment or security control, or broke applicable law. Terms that logically continue after termination, including ownership, payment obligations, disclaimers, liability limits, and governing law, will continue.

18. Governing Law and Consumer Rights

These Terms are governed by the laws of Romania, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Romania, except where applicable consumer protection law grants you the right to bring proceedings in your country of residence.

19. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as Buddylio changes. The date at the top shows the latest revision. If a change materially affects an ongoing service, we'll provide an appropriate notice. The version in effect when you complete a purchase will continue to govern that purchase unless a later change is required by law or is more favorable to you.
