Plain words, clear steps, and no alarmist promises.
Why Buddylio exists
Small details deserve a place to live
Dogs cannot tell us that today feels different. We notice it in the half finished breakfast, the slower walk, the missed pill, or the way they settle at night.

Built for the things that are easy to forget
Buddylio brings everyday dog care into one calm place. The app keeps quick check ins, medication, walks, weight, and vet notes together. The guides help with specific moments, from a new puppy to a senior dog. The stories are here for the part that cannot be measured: why dogs matter so much to us.
It is practical by design. You should not need a medical dictionary or a complicated system to keep better notes about your dog.
What guides us
Four simple principles
Tools should work on an ordinary, busy day.
Buddylio organizes observations. It does not diagnose or replace a veterinarian.
Your dog is not a data point. The little things matter because the relationship matters.
Buddylio Editorial Team
How we report Articles
Our public Articles cover dog, shelter, rescue, and animal welfare news that fits Buddylio's audience. We review the sources named on each page, check the central figures and organizations, and add plain English context instead of presenting a copied news summary.
Publication and update dates describe the article itself, and time sensitive adoption details carry a reminder to confirm current status with the shelter.
To flag a factual error or request a correction, email support@buddylio.com with the article URL and the detail that needs review.
How our pages are made
Where AI is used, and where it isn't
We use AI tools in the production of this site: for research, for drafting, for editing, and for the illustrations. We think you should know that rather than guess at it.
What AI does not do here is decide what gets published. Every care guide is checked against named veterinary sources before it goes live, and those sources are listed at the foot of the page so you can read them yourself. Every news article names the reporting it rests on. A page that has nothing to add beyond what you can already find elsewhere does not get published, however easy it would be to generate.
No article on this site is written by a veterinarian, and we never present one as though it were. Buddylio organizes what you observe about your dog. Your vet is the one who interprets it.
The Dog Age Calculator methodology lists the model's evidence, calculation hierarchy, uncertainty, and geographic limits.
