23 Rabbits Rescued After Reported Abandonment in Seletar

Voices For Animals recovered 23 rabbits in Singapore’s Seletar Farmway area after a report that boxes of the animals had been left beside a road, Mothership reported September 19.

The group’s founder, Derrick Tan, told the outlet that the rabbits included 16 adults and seven babies. He said his team arrived shortly after midnight on September 19, following a late night report the previous evening.

Tan described matted fur, overgrown nails and wounds among the rabbits. He said they would be offered for adoption once medically stable and ready. The report does not announce an adoption opening date.

Tan said the group planned to seek dashcam footage before reporting the alleged abandonment to Singapore’s Animal and Veterinary Service. Buddylio has not confirmed that a case was subsequently opened.
