How to check your own bag or can
Keep the original packaging or clear photos of every code. A UPC identifies a product; the lot and best by date narrow down the affected batch. Codes can be on a bag seam, back panel or can base. Use the product photographs in the official notice if you cannot find them.
If your product matches, stop feeding it and keep it separate from other food, children and animals. Follow that notice's return or disposal instructions: some companies ask for a return, others for secure disposal. Keep photos and the receipt. Clean the bowl, scoop and contact surfaces, and wash your hands. Do not donate recalled food.

A missing result does not show that a product is safe or recall free. Search the FDA's current recall listing and check the manufacturer's notice too. Broad milk replacer and Raaw Energy entries above are summaries: the official tables contain the product by product date codes. Elite Treats is retained as a historical entry; FDA marks that recall terminated.
Steve's Real Food's June 8 notice lists two different UPCs: 691730164027 in its product table and 691730181031 in its packaging paragraph. The lot C26022 and best by date 1/22/2028 agree. Do not rule out a bag on UPC alone; ask Go Raw to confirm a possible match.

Two of the recalls above have full Buddylio reports with the company statements and what changed since: the Northwest Naturals raw food recall and the Fromm canned food recall. A separate UK recall by Years is covered in this report. It's not on the FDA list because the food is sold outside the United States.
What to watch for if your dog already ate recalled food
Different recall reasons call for different checks. The notices here include bacterial contamination, foreign material and nutrient imbalances. Symptoms do not identify which product caused an illness, and a dog can carry harmful bacteria without looking sick.
- Salmonella or Listeria: lethargy, diarrhea (sometimes bloody), fever, vomiting, less appetite, a tender belly. Some dogs carry the bacteria without looking sick and can pass it to people through saliva and stool, so wash hands after cleanup.
- Metal or plastic pieces: choking, vomiting, refusing food, a painful belly, straining to pass stool.
- Low thiamine: less appetite, vomiting, drooling, weight loss, and in later stages a bent neck, wobbly walking, circling or seizures.
- Milk replacers with low or elevated vitamin D: the Revival notice describes weakness, poor growth and other signs. Tell the veterinarian the formula, size and date code rather than trying to correct the vitamin level yourself.

Keep the package check separate from the health check
Check every food format, including cans, treats and supplements. A different recipe from the same brand is not automatically affected; an unlisted product is not automatically cleared. If a code is unreadable or food was emptied into a bin, tell the manufacturer what you still know: recipe, package size, shop and purchase date. Do not guess the lot.
