Terrance Banks, 40, was booked September 28 on eleven aggravated animal cruelty counts and one second degree arson count, according to the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office custody portal. The arrest follows a house fire on Snow Hill Road in Geneva, Florida, where officials say six dogs died.
What the custody record shows
Buddylio checked booking 202600008046 on September 29. The register lists all twelve counts as felonies, a September 29 court date at 2 p.m., and Banks as a current inmate at John E. Polk Correctional Facility. These are booking allegations, not convictions; the portal cautions that its entries may not reflect prosecutors’ later charging decisions or court outcomes.
The eleven animal cruelty entries each carry a $5,000 bond, totaling $55,000. The arson entry is marked “No Bond.” The portal says an inmate is not bondable when any individual count has that designation. The total shown for the other counts therefore does not mean Banks can secure release by paying it.
Officials corrected the number of dogs killed
ClickOrlando’s September 28 report, updated at 6:27 p.m., says officials accounted for eleven dogs: six dead and five taken for care. The newsroom added a correction withdrawing an earlier report that at least ten had died.
Firefighters were called around 10 a.m. and found about half the house burning, according to the fire department account in that report. A partial roof collapse left the home a complete loss. ClickOrlando also confirmed with the sheriff’s office that an arrest had been made, but its report did not name the suspect.
The custody record spells Banks’s middle name Frederick. WFTV’s indexed report uses Fredrick. This article uses Terrance Banks and the official booking number to avoid treating the spelling difference as a second person.

How we reported this: Buddylio directly checked the official custody record and ClickOrlando’s corrected report. WFTV’s full text was available in the search index, but its site blocked direct access by location. We used the official register for charges, spelling, bond and court date, and omitted the indexed report’s gasoline and alleged statement details.
